Doll Accessories

Doll accessories comes in many forms. Among the most popular are different clothing items of course. Depending on the toy figure in question, outfits may only be purchased with the doll or they may be sold separately. Of course, some people adore creating apparel options themselves.

Other examples of doll accessories include miniature houses and the items created to furnish it. Originally, doll houses were very expensive investments that were kept only by the wealthy. After the industrial revolution, however, mass manufacture allowed them to become much more affordable.

Doll accessories will generally be described by their scale. For example, play scale is the scale of the Ken and Barbie dolls. It can also be described as 1:6, or sixth scale. This is a pretty large size. Children's dollhouses tend to exist as 1:18. Adult collectors usually purchase items as 1:12, on the other hand.
